Find the length of AB

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find AB it will be like this.. everytime you have to find lenght between two points then subtract coordinates of 2nd from 1st..i.e. for AB AB=OB-OA=(3,3)-(-1,6)=(3-(-1))-(3-6)=(3+1)-(-3)=4+3=7

sorry i don't understand?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sqrt{(x-x)^{2}+(y-y)^{2}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just plug in the x's and y's and you got the length of line AB

@crazycrazy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok...then a simple way use distance formula.. d=sqrt(x-x1)^2+(y-y1)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol that's what i said
