OpenStudy (phi):

can you find the total area of the circle ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A=50.3?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGt_JGHYEO4 NUIQQA WE MADE IT!

OpenStudy (phi):

the area of the whole circle is pi * r^2 where r is 4 so pi * 16 = 50.24 so yes 50.3 if you round. (I would keep 2 decimals until the very end, then round) next, we know a circle is 360º around. 60º is only part of the whole circle. in other words, the "pie section" is 60/360 , which simplifies to 1/6 it is 1/6 the area of the whole circle.

so would the answer be D. 8.4?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes

thank you!
