Riemann sum is basically adding up the areas of the rectangles shown in the figure. The diagram shows that the width (h) of the rectangles is 0.5. The heights of the the four left-sum rectangles would be (x^2/8), when we sum for x=3,4.5 in steps of 0.5, i.e. for x=3,3.5,4,4.5. The right sum would be the same as above, but with heights evaluated at 3.5,4,4.5,5 instead. If you evaluate these sums and post, I can verify them for you.

i got for the left side 3.59375 and for the right side 4.59375
