Help with polynomials?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which one of these are a perfect square trinomial 9x^2 - 12x + 4 36b^2 - 24b + 16 16x^2 - 24x - 9 4a^2 - 10a - 25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe the first one? But I don't really know...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes its A 3x-2 3x-2 use the foil method and youll get that answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9x^2-12x+4 3 is the square root of 9 and 2 is the square root of 4 3 stays positive because 9 is positive but both 2's are negative because when you do this method 12 needs to be negative and 4 needs to be positvie (3x-2) (3x-2) multiply first 3x into the 2nd 3x and 2nd -2 9x^2-6x now multiply first -2 into 2nd 3x and 2nd -2 -6x+4 combine like terms 9x^2-12x+4 If you do this method with the other equations they wont turn out right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

36b^2-24b+16 6b-4 6b-4 36b^2-24b -24b+16 36b^2-48b+16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

16x^2-24x-9 4x-3 4x+3 16x^2+12x -12x-9 16x^2-9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay! Awesome, and I got it right by looking at it too! lol I so earned a medal for that mannnn xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

>.< thanks for the medal if you need more help let me know

OpenStudy (anonymous):
