when we put in x=1 we get 10 and needed, and when we put in x=2 we get 15 as needed and x=3 gives 20....

wrong question sory

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Marie is logging the number of radioactive isotopes she observes every minute. She has determined her function to be f(x) = −4x + 120. Based on the situation above, describe any necessary restrictions to the domain and range. Provide justification for the restrictions.

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

thats the question

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well the domain restriction is that x is greater than or equal to 0. from what I read, x is time in minutes.... and you can't have negative time.... there is an upper end restriction on the time to find it you need to solve 0 = -4x + 120 this is beyond this point the isotope would have negative weight. so the restriction on the range is the values of y, what is the largest value of y.... when x = 0 the smallest value of y is 0.... this is because you can't have a negative value as the amount of isotope. so the graph looks like |dw:1406056555568:dw|
