Need help, I have been assigned to write an analysis of story elements. Here is the instructions:
Summarize the story, describing the setting(s) and the major characters.
Analyze the ways in which setting is essential to the plot of the story.
Analyze the ways in which the main characters are crucial to the arc of the story.
In your conclusion, summarize how the author’s choices in creating and developing characters and establishing setting impact the sequence of events in the story.
What I am having problems with is structure; what to put in the opening and supporting paragraphs.

I think you're in the wrong subject...and for everything you need to write about just write your introduction paragraph about how you felt about the story and how your supporting paragraphs will connect to the intro then your next paragraph can be written on specifically the plot and setting, a paragraph on specifically the major characters, a paragraph for the characters' importance to the arc of the story, and then your concluding paragraph write about what you were instructed to write about
