In induced fit hypothesis the shape of substrate is not complimentary to the active site of enzyme but when it attaches to the active site of enzyme it induces a change in the shape (active site) of enzyme so that it can fit properly and thus allowing the active site to become complementary which results in the formation of enzyme substrate complex
