FOR FAN AND MEDAL, Can somebody verify that this is A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A golf ball is hit from the ground with an initial velocity of 208 feet per second. Assume the starting height of the ball is 0 feet. How long will it take the golf ball to hit the ground? 13 secs 21 secs 42 secs 6 secs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does the golf ball travels straight up or parabola?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All I know is what I posted

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would imagine a parabola because it's virtually impossible to hit a golf ball straight up, especially if you look at it logically, the fave of the club just isn't the right angle:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would tend to agree with that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are some missing info. if the ball travels as a parabola, there should be distance from the group at the highest point or horizontal d where it landed.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you know the formula I could figure it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I found this. I was correct. Thanks yall! http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/4fa29c0ee4b029e9dc336522

Hm I think the problem is assuming you that it's straight up! If so: d= v0(t) + 1/2 at^2 0 = 208t + 1/2 (-32) t^2 t = 13
