Can I get help with this please? Which is a solution to the equation 5x + 2y = –1? A. (–2, 5) B. (–1, 4) C. (1, –3) D. (2, –4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug in the choices that are given to you into the equation to know what coordinates give you negative one..

OpenStudy (imstuck):

plug each of the x and y values from your choices for answers and see which coordinate pair makes the equation = -1. Like this, using your first choice in your answers of (-2,5)\[5(-2)+2(5)=0\]So you know it's not A because it has to equal -1 with the coordinate pair plugged in and that one came to 0. So try the next one.

Ok
