What does it mean to complete the square? e use "completing the square" to help us solve for x but completing the square is not the process of solving for x. ᅠWhat are we doing when we complete the square--why is it called that? (answer in words please)

so the standard form of a trinomial is ax^2+bx+c=0 however, when you're completing the square, you're usually given ax^2+bx and you're trying to find c to find c, you take b and divide that by 2 and then square it. this is comleting the square
