Line your numbers from smallest to largest. Since you have an even amount of data, eight data values, take the average of the two middle values.

So lining them up we get:

16,19,19,22,24,33,37,46

The two middle values are 22, 24. So average is (22+24)/2=23
So the median is 23

If you had had an odd number of data values, you would have just taken the middle value after lining them up smallest to largest.
