FAN, MEDAL, AND TESTIMONIAL!!! PLEASE HELP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If y = v - 0.5gt2, which equation is solved for t? t = square root of v plus y over 0.5 times g t = square root of v minus y over 0.5 times g t = square root of negative v plus y over 0.5 times g t = square root of v minus y over negative 0.5 times g

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Venny I would be very appreciative of your help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(y=v-0.5gt^2\) first subtract v from both sides \(y-v=-0.5gt^2\) now divide by -0.5g \(\large \frac{y-v}{-0.5g}=t^2\) lastly take the sqrt of both sides. \(\large\sqrt{\frac{-v+y}{-0.5g}}=t\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats not an answer choice. Lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes because the fraction \(\large\frac{-v+y}{-0.5g}\) has a - on both the top in the bottom, making them both positive.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh thats right. Im sorry I wasn't thinking.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which one do you think it is now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep!

David wants to hang a mirror in his room but the mirror and frame must not have an area larger than 8 square feet. The mirror is 2 feet wide and 3 feet long. Which quadratic equation represents the area of the mirror and frame combined? (The frame must have equal width of x on each side.) Square with an inner frame with height of 2ft on the left frame and width of 3ft on the top. Arrow on the bottom frame with an x and an arrow on the right frame with an x. 2x^2 + 14x - 2 = 0 3x^2 + 10x - 8 = 0 4x^2 + 10x - 2 = 0 x^2 + 7x - 8 = 0
