For the function y = f(x), what is the ordered pair for the point on the graph when x = 3n - 4??? help plzz

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Hint: All ordered pairs are of the form (x,y) y is interchangeable with f(x) since y = f(x) so that means you can state the ordered pair in the form ( x, f(x) )

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The answer isn't (x,y) or ( x, f(x) ) those are the basic forms to get you started

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its not (x,f(x) )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

no, but that leads you to the right answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

these are the answer choices a. (3n - 4, fNo) b. (3n - 4, f(3n - 4)) c. (x, f(3n)) d. (x, 3n - 4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be c then @jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

in ( x, f(x) ), replace every x with 3n-4 we do this because x = 3n-4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soo b

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx u helped me alot

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
