Lol, #3 should be really easy:D Since they already give you Y, just plug that into the second equation and substitute:D. Like this: You have to equations: 4x+y=18, y=x+3 4x+1(x+3)=18 Next step is to distribute: 4x+1x+3=18 Combine Like terms: 5x+3=18. Instead of adding 3, you subtract it from both sides to get x by itself. So now your equation looks like this: 5x=15. Divide both sides by 5 And you get x=3.

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Now plug in the x into any equation. It doesn't really matter. You're going to get the same answer. I'll use: y=x+3 y=1(3) + 3 y= 3+3 y=6. Got it? Is there anything unclear?

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

Nope it took me a 2nd re-read but i got it now thx alot

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Hahaha:D Ok. Lol. Wanna do the second one now? Have you solved for any of it yet?

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

I have its -8 -4

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Alright. Let me check. Cuz I haven't worked it out yet. Give me a sec.

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

k

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):
