Solve: 3(k + 8) < 21

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

It's just a regular 2-Step equations:D 1.) Distributive Property and you get: 3k+24<21 2.) Subtract both sides to get k by itself; and you get: 3k<3 3.) Divide and you get: k=1. I'm just curious, is this a multiple choice question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it is not multiple choice

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

3(k + 8) < 21 3k + 24 < 21 3k < 21 - 24 3k < -3 k < -1

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

I meant -1.

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

It's just common mistakes:D Lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k<-1 is what i put the other day and it says its wrong

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

if I had $1 for every mistake I made, I would be rich...lol

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Hahaha:D That would be awesome:D

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

k < -1 should not have been marked wrong....unless you wrote the problem wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i copy and pasted the problem on here

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

If we would have 4real....We would be millionaires by now:D

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

lol....I want to be a millionaire so freakin bad... the answer to this particular problem is k < -1

OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):

Hahhaa:D Me 2.Lol, we all do:D
