got these three questions please explain these three numbers ADVANCE THANK YOU :) @Abhisar
that's my last sets of question for today :)
Q.1 Do you know the meaning of all the terms given in the options ?
some of them
i got some ideas
Like do you know refraction, reflection ?
What does plane mirror does ? refracts or reflects light ?
yeah
i think 1. d 2. b 3. e
1 \(\huge\checkmark\)
Q.2 is not clear...not able to see it completely. What is the given angle of incidence ?
of 40* sorry
3 \(\huge\cancel{\bcancel{~}}\)
oh its d its 2m behind the mirror i was thinking the total distance
yes, the image formed by a plane mirror is always virtual and is as much behind it as the object is. So here the image will be formed `2 m behind the mirror` and will be `virtual.`
is no 2 correct
any explanation for 1 and 2 ?
Q.2 is vague ! Angle of refraction will be equal to 40° only if the ray falls on optical center.|dw:1406118883303:dw|
getting it ?
what's your explanation on number 1
I thought i know it.
Almost every surface reflect light to some extent (That is why we are able to see them). Rough or unpolished surface reflect it irregularly while polished and smooth surface reflect light regularly.
its just regular reflection because its a plane mirror?
yes, plane mirror has polished surface which reflects the light ina synchronus manner or regular manner.
Since the angle of reflection is always measured to the 'normal' or perpendicular at the point of incidence it will always be = angle of incidence WHEREVER it strikes the mirror |dw:1406120891042:dw|
