well , as far as i solved my answer is independent equations.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2x + 6y = 4. by hit and trial x= 2 and y=0. but it's not satisfied the other equation. so independent and the 2x + 6y = 4. has a solution so the equations are not to be inconsistent. so the answer is independent.
