interesting charts and graphs and whatnot are pretty, but they could essentially be useless depending on the info presented
the time limit isn't as important as the CONTENT of the speech
and clever stories are an engaging bonus, but they don't make or break the speech

the *main ideas* make or break the speech. what did you gain from it? did you learn something new, did it make an impact on you?
