Besides cultivating liberty gardens, how did American women contribute to the United States' war efforts? They worked to convince able young men, including their own husbands and sons, to enlist. They fought harder for women's suffrage so that they could participate in important war decisions. They agreed to go back to their traditional roles once their men returned from war. They went to work in war-related industries to fill in for the men who were away at war.
