1st consider a translation rule for new triangle...

a translation is simply moving in x or y direction or both
example:
(x,y) -> (x+3, y-1)
for each of the 3 points or original triangle, add 3 to "x" coordinate, subtract 1 to "y" coordinate

use distance formula with these new points to determine lengths of new triangle
verify that they match the lengths of original triangle

You should stop calling this person a "teacher".  Take the time to catalogue your request and the responses.  When you have gathered 8-10 negative experiences that you believe to be unreasonable, submit this information to the individual's supervisor.  You will have to make up your mind if you are willing to do this in the middle of a semester or at the end.
