Please help! Medal rewarded: The figure below shows a transversal t which intersects the parallel lines PQ and RS: Write a paragraph to prove that the measure of angle 4 is equal to the measure of angle 8.
I always hated these type of geometric proofs. Don't I see that 3+9=12, why would I need more proof form this? Anyway... I've done these in 9th grade, so doubt if I would remember how to do, but I can try at least... (I for sure won't know the REASONS though) I won't have all statements written well mathematically, even though I'll show the idea. I don't really remember these. SORRY -:( Statement Reason ─────────────────────── 1) PQ & RS are parallel Given 2) line t is bisecting PQ and RS Given 3) ∠ 2 = ∠ 8
This is just the idea behind this.... tag someone who can do it please.
Well thank you anyways!
yeah... that was the poorest job on a math problem that I ever did
oh wow this isnt that bad ;) angle 4 and angle 8 is corresponding, simple. that makes them congruent.
I used to prefer the statement and proof diagram, but now I prefer a proof in an essay form.
lol i dont really like any but for this one its corresponding- it doesnt ned a proofexcept that they are on teh same side.
Well, for common sense you certainly don't need proving anything here, but you know the teachers: they need every little detail in the diagram. (Perhaps they are right)
lol yea
