if F(x)=3x-2 and G(x)=x^2+8 what is G(F(x))?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first find f(x) .. it's 3x-2 and now we should find g(3x-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g(y) = y^2 + 8 and now we have to substitute 3x-2 in place of y so it would be :\(\Large \color{lime}{ (3x-2)^2 + 8} \)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got it?

OpenStudy (masumanwar):

G(F(x))=(3x-2)^2 +2 =9x^2-12x+6
