2.While in the United States visiting her grandmother, Kendra copied the famous family apple pie recipe. When she returns to England, she plans on making the same apple pie for her friends. To do this, Kendra needs to convert the flour from cups to grams. She knows that 0.5 cup of flour has a mass of 64 grams and 2 cups of flour has a mass of 256 grams.
Evaluate g(x) for any value of x within the domain. Interpret the meaning of your solution in the context of this problem. g(5) = 128 * 5 = g(5) = 640 Look at the method you used to evaluate your function in part D. Explain another way you can evaluate the function for the same input.
For part A: c=g(x)=128g i.e.: A cup is 128 grams. B: This is tricky, because they don't tell you what they mean by 'reasonable'. What is reasonable to one person might be ridiculous to somebody else. A couple of possible answers: i) 0<g<1000 because you can't have less that zero flour and if it was more than 1000 grams you would measure it in kilograms. ii) The only other answer is something like "g must be less than 256g". i.e.: a normal amount of flour for a pie.
