I have been sitting on this questions since 4:13. It's 5:44 now. Part C: The average air pressure in another town is 29 inches, but the actual pressure is within 4 inches of the average. Write and solve an inequality to find the range of air pressure in this town.
I would like to be walked through this, not just told the answer.
Well lets see theres going to be two solutions because it doesn't specify weather its above or below the average so we have to go in both directions. So to write an inequality all you have to do is show how far in each direction it goes of the average so we'll use x for the average because were 4 from x in both directions all we have to do is this \[25 \le x \le 33\]
You know, I heard that questions get answered within 5 minutes here. Must've heard wrong. I'm tired, I'm stressed, can anybody please help me?
Sorry for complaining above. So.. just what you said?
That's what I had first of all... *facepalm*
Yes that basically says that x being the pressure 25 is less than or equal to x and x is less than or equal to 33.
Thank you, thank you so much.
