(no offence but this was pretty obvious) -The Battle of Philippi took place in the year 42 BC. -Cassius built a transverse dam to stop Antony from breaking Cassius’s and Brutus’s armies apart. -Cassius killed himself because he said that he would commit suicide if he lost the battle of Philippi. -Brutus defeated Octavian’s army. -There were two different battles at the Battle of Philippi. -The entire Battle of Philippi lasted for 2 days, with several weeks of breaks between both battles. -The Battle of Philippi started after the assassination of Julius Caesar. -Cassius’s army fought Anthony's army, while Brutus’s army fought Octavian's army. -Cassius killed himself because he thought he had lost the battle. -Brutus killed himself because because back then suicide was an honorable way to die if it would help avoid defeat and humiliation. -Before he died, Brutus said to Caesar’s ghost, (paraphrase) Sorry I couldn't answer this one, I don't know. -Anthony said that Brutus was "This was the noblest Roman of them All All the conspiritors save only he Did that they did in envy of great Caesar He only in general honest though and common good to all made one of them His life was gentle and the elements So mixed in him that nature might stand up And say to all the world "This was a man" ".
