OpenStudy (republican31):

If a fan draws 220 watts on a 120- volt circuit what is the current being drawn? 15 amperes 22 amperes 5 amperes

OpenStudy (kropot72):

\[Power=Voltage \times Current\] \[Current=\frac{Power}{Voltage}=\frac{220}{120}=(you\ can\ calculate)\ amperes\] Note: None of the answer choices is correct.

OpenStudy (republican31):

That's what I thought. I tried the formula you described before I even posted the question, and came up with the fact that none of the answers worked. I normally wouldn't ask otherwise, since it is so simple. I e-Mailed the teacher telling her, with a screenshot, and I will hopefully receive credit. Thank You! I really just wanted a second opinion to make sure that none of these answers would work.
