OpenStudy (zairahernandez):

The ozone layer helps to sustain terrestrial life by __________. a. absorbing incoming UV radiation b. keeping levels of ozone in the troposphere low c. maintaining the Earth's temperature structure d. all of the above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have an idea, darling?

OpenStudy (zairahernandez):

No Thats why im asking LOL (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The ozone layer definitely absorbs portions of UV radiation descending from the sun.

OpenStudy (zairahernandez):

so its A? (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I bet on it. ;) ox

OpenStudy (zairahernandez):

Oh okay MVPPPPPP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm.. i thought it would be all of the above- d - because they all seem reasonable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'd choose D. as well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ZairaHernandez @AnnalieseBronz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its D *absorbs Uv rays (because of its structure conatianing 3 atom..e central atoms can oscillate between the end / exterior atoms, this can store a lot of energy, and responds to infrared,... it is assumed the bonds hold up to brief dances with packets of infrared energy. ...) *keeps level of ozone in troposphere low ( Ozone in the lower atmosphere (troposphere) is created by chemical reactions between pollutants and sunlight. Ozone in the troposphere is dangerous to human health because it can cause lung damage and other cardiopulmonary problems when breathed.... as it moves to stratoaphere it dosent remain dangerous there for us) *maintains earth temperature (ozone is a greenhouse gas... it controls the Uv rays entering the earth ...u can understand it well by global warming, more the the depletion of ozne layer , more Uv rays entering our atmosphere , more wil b the increase in in temperature of te earth) hope its satisfactory :)
