OpenStudy (anonymous):

the bottom is a number 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know how to solve trig questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

U need to use the tangent ratio

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\tan 65= \frac{ x }{ 9 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

R u even there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 13.34?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope. Look, the way you solve is by multiplying x on each side then find tan 65 using a calculator. After that divide that number by 9 and that is your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should get a number less than 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm getting two different answers when i do it?'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I got 4.19 appoximately

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to round it to the nearest tenth

OpenStudy (nikato):

@Chuck_O_Beast It's multiply by 9 not divide. And @isabelv Do you have your calculator on radian mode? Because you get around -13.2. Your calculator should be in degree mode. So I got around 19.3

OpenStudy (nikato):

Just plug this into your calculator after you switch your mode. tan(65) x 9 =
