In the last discussion thread, you explained the meaning of vertex of an angle, an ellipse, and a parabola. During this lesson, you study hyperbolas. Hyperbolas also have a vertex. Think about how the vertex of a hyperbola compares to that of an ellipse, a parabola, and an angle. Why is the same term used in different situations?
