Hint: (THIS IS AN EXAMPLE, not solution to the above problem) If you throw a die, the probability of NOT throwing a two is 1-P(2)=1-(1/6)=5/6 OR you add up the probabilities of everything else: P(not a 2)=P(1)+P(3)+P(4)+P(5)+P(6)=5/6.
