Why do citizens have a responsibility to participate in matters of the government? It is mandatory in order to demonstrate patriotism. It is the law for people to actively contribute to society. It is what makes the United States unique from other nations. It is crucial to the success of the democratic process. It is written in the Constitution by our founding fathers.

Welcome to Openstudy. I am not sure of the answer, but I do know that it is civic duty or whatever to participate in matters of the government and stuff. You don't have to do it actively, but I think you have to do it at least once. I would say maybe D?
