Salvation can be attained by your faith and what you belive. Its also what you do. Say you belive that killing is wrong yet you do so anyways? God looks at you heart and he can see what is there. You cant hide anything from god. You must belive god with a strong faith and stand up for it even if it cost you your life. I think this is what the question was asking...?
