OpenStudy (anonymous):

How can I use implicit differentiation to calculate the derivative of sin(xt) = t (with respect to x)? Medal will be given to best answer!

OpenStudy (thomas5267):

Just assume that \(x\) is a function of \(t\) and use chain rule to differentiate.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does that mean I'm trying to single out t prime? (t')

OpenStudy (thomas5267):

You are trying to single out \(x'\). \(t'=\frac{dt}{dt}=1\).

oh i see, thank you!
