i will give a medal to the first to get the correct answer y + 3 = 2x y + 4 = 3x If you use the comparison method to solve the given system, what is the resulting equation? y + 3 = y + 4 2x - 3 = 3x - 4 2x + 3 = 3x + 4

OpenStudy (imstuck):

What is the comparison method!? I know of graphing, substitution, and addition.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

oh forget it; I can see from the answers what that means.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

solve both the equations for y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just the answer and u win a metal

OpenStudy (imstuck):

The first one will be y = 2x-3. The second one will be y = 3x-4. Now that we know what the values of y are, you can set them equal to one another. This means that the values for y are equal. If y is (something) and y is also (something else), then (something)=(something else). Kind of a crazy way to explain it, but it's true!

OpenStudy (imstuck):

So your answer is 2x-3=3x-4

OpenStudy (imstuck):

TY for the medal!
