OpenStudy (akohl):

@aaronq A laser produces light of wavelength λ. The light is directed through two slits that are separated by a small distance. On the other side of the slits is an interference pattern of alternating dark (black) and bright bands. What is the wavelength of the light in the bright bands? λ 2λ 9λ 0.5λ

OpenStudy (akohl):

Its either 2 or .5 cause it alternates

OpenStudy (aaronq):

I dont think the wavelength changes as a light wave diffracts, because it's not changing speed

OpenStudy (akohl):

Depends does frequency change

OpenStudy (aaronq):

nope it doesnt

OpenStudy (akohl):

K thanks

OpenStudy (aaronq):

no problem, i gotta get going though. later
