Why does much of the continental United States have a large number of storms? because the horse latitudes prevent rain from falling so that when it does the storms are violent because very little heat is transferred here as the cold and warm air masses intermix freely because polar and tropical air masses meet in conflict there because ocean currents greatly affect the weather in the interior of the country
