Just need help with part B Part B: How many hours did each student learn French each month? Show your work and justify each step of your work.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Ok I think I got this...

OpenStudy (imstuck):

She makes a total of 6100 a month after she pays rent so we do not have to worry about the rent. It says her net income, after expenses, is 6100. So now we need to figure out how many hours she teaches to make that 6100.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

It comes out to 4.84 hours per each student to make that money. But when we keep the 200 in, it comes out much nicer. I am going to stick the 200 back in there as an expense and show you how I worked it.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

$6100=$1260x - $200 with x being the total number of hours per student and she makes 1260 for all the students together. That's 7 groups of 4 students per group, so that's 28 total students, and per student, she charges $45. That's how I got the $1260.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

When you solve that for the number of hours, x, you get x = 5 hours per student.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

I guess "net" means maybe after taxes?.....

I think I understand now. Thanks again :)

You're welcome.
