Use a calculator to find the approximate value of arcsin(0.682)

OpenStudy (radar):

Does your calculator has a button labeled sin^1, might have to use the shift key?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (radar):

If you don't have a calculator with the inverse sin function, you will have to borrow one or use google.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when i put in the problem i get .750493 and that is not an option

OpenStudy (radar):

Using the Google search engine enter this: Sin^-1 (0.682)

OpenStudy (radar):

after pressing "enter" it should show a solution or refer you to a inverse sine calculator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it did! thanks so much!

OpenStudy (radar):

Remember the sine is only positive in Quadrant I and Quadrant II. What are your choices?

OpenStudy (radar):

I may have lead you to an incorrect answer because the way I wrote sin^-1 0.682 Maybe (sin^-1) (0.682)

OpenStudy (radar):

I believe the best answer is 43 degrees.
