EASY MEDAL AND FAN!! NOT AN ACADEMIC QUESTION Question about high school!!! I am going to be a freshman next year and I am pretty scared:(((( I was wondering how you guys take notes in high school. Do teachers give you note-taking worksheet or do you write down what teachers say?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will fan every one who reply! Thanks lots

OpenStudy (precal):

a little of both

OpenStudy (genny7):

You write down the notes the teacher writes on the board :)

OpenStudy (precal):

you will have to learn to study for more than one class.

To be honest, I don't know because I am homeschooled. but they usually tell you to write the stuff down. In some classes, they might give you a worksheet. But Here is a tip, don't be scared because highschool will get better after the next few weeks, as long as your teachers are nice and your not being bullied, everything will be alright.

Just write down everything the teacher says or writes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay!! So lets say History. Do they give you worksheet? OR Science? English?

OpenStudy (genny7):

For all subjects you write your own notes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well in my history class, they ask you questions in the notes and you answer them then you write a bunch of other stuff, but this might not go for you since you are actually GOING to school

I don't really know the curriculum in regular schools but, I think the homeschooling system and regular school system have more similarities than differences

OpenStudy (precal):

All teachers give some type of notes. You should have textbooks. You should be able to go to the bookroom and check out textbooks for reference. Teachers will use different methods of lecturing. Powerpoints, technology, worksheets, group work, labs, etc..... Do well in your freshmen year because that year determines your rank in class when you graduate.

Oh so it is not like the teachers talk and you write down without any other assistance? Gosh thank you!! You see, I am asian and I am not so good at those X(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It kind of depends on the teacher. Some will have it in a power point, or they will give you a section to read and you take important information out of that. Most of the time at my school we take notes off of power points, and if you miss a day just ask the teachers to look at the power points.

With online homeschooling you read the lessons online, and you can choose go to live sessions with teachers and other students, a lot like an actual classroom. They use Educator and Blackboard for FLVS which is where I go to school

Thank you guys I love you so much. Who havnt I fanned yet?
