I know this is really basic but I've got a brain fart on how to solve: 34=xyz Volume is 34 and volume =x*y*z Help please.

OpenStudy (compphysgeek):

there's no unique answer to the question. you've got three unknowns to solve one equation. You can choose two of them more or less freely, the third then depends on what the value for the others are. so if you chose x = 17, y = 2 then z must be 1. you can choose many combinations. in the end, you should have a shape that includes all triples (x,y,z) for which the equation is true

Okay thanks. Thought so.

OpenStudy (compphysgeek):

not sure if the shape will look like a triangle, but it wont cross any of the axes, since neither can be 0
