OpenStudy (nick88888888):

Please write how you do it, therefore i know how to do it myself in the future. Write the slope-intercept form of the equation of the line parallel to y = 5x + 2, which passes through the point (4, 9). Answer y = 5x - 11 y = -5x + 9 y = -1/5 - 11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hint: If it's parallel, the slopes are the same; If it's perpendicular, the slope is the reciprocal as well as having the opposite sign

OpenStudy (nick88888888):

@Huyani So it would be -1/5 - 11 :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No wait I'm mistaken

OpenStudy (nick88888888):

@Huyani Thank you for the help C: <3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

WAIT NO

OpenStudy (nick88888888):

@Huyani .-. Oh ok :c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's 5x-11 Not -1/5x-11 remember

OpenStudy (nick88888888):

@Huyani Oh .-. you said recipricol so i thought it was 1/5 =w= Opps :C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Parallel=same slope (5x) Perp= opposite reciprocal (-1/5x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mistake, I read too fast :)

OpenStudy (nick88888888):

@Huyani Oh!! Ok Thank you so much :3 T^T big help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem :) Good luck in math...we all need it T_T

OpenStudy (nick88888888):

@Huyani Yea its my worst subject T^T I suck with study stuff sadly :c
