OpenStudy (aravindg):

Do you know the formula for area of parallelogram?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A=base times altitude! and ty for coming to help me

OpenStudy (aravindg):

The other angle is 60 ie (180 - 120) If the base is 12, then you can calculate height using the right triangle and finding sine 60.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A is the right answer then

OpenStudy (aravindg):

No try again. What did you get height as?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the height is 8 of the paralellogram, then since the angle is 60 degrees, you would use a 30-60-90 degree triangle. Then the altitude would be 4 because the short side is 8-4

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Height is not 8.
