Continuing with our series learning about power system, this thread will explore topic of electric machine. This is a vast topic: multiple books can be written about this . So I will try to highlight important point and gets into mathematics of it. Also I will use computer software like Matlab/Simulink, Solidworks, and Comsol.  We may need additional thread on this topic.

Two most popular type of electric machine are motor and generator. The generator we will study is called AC synchronous generator.
