OpenStudy (akohl):

@Abhisar An astronaut has weight W on Earth. The astronaut travels to a planet that has a mass 8 times greater than Earth's mass, and its radius is 2 times greater than Earth's radius. What is the astronaut's weight on the planet? 4W W 2W 0.5W

OpenStudy (abhisar):

What formula should we use here ?

OpenStudy (akohl):

All I can think of is w=mg

OpenStudy (abhisar):

\(\large\sf F_g=\frac{GMm}{r^2}\)

OpenStudy (akohl):

Is it 2w bc u multiply the top by 8 and divided by2^2 this multiplied by the bottom/radius and 8/4=2

OpenStudy (abhisar):
