WILL MEDAL AND FAN IF ANSWER SOON! The quadratic function f(x) crosses the x-axis at -3 and 1. What are the solutions of f(x) = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@mathmate This is part of a pre test so i know nothing about it. but if i pass the pre test i can skip the lesson.

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

will the solution are -3 and 1 the function should be written like this f(x)=(x+3)(x-1)

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

if you solve this equation x^2+2x-3=0 you should get those solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

you're weclome

OpenStudy (mathmate):

@alicatforever If you know nothing about the subject, your best option is one of the following: 1. learn enough so you can pass the test 2. take the lesson. For most people, the second option is the most efficient. This is the purpose of the pre-test. Skipping it will make your future learn more difficult, if possible at all.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well they give you the option to take the pre test and if you pass it then you dont have to go through the lesson. that was the only one i got stuck on but i wanted help just incase i got some wrong.

OpenStudy (mathmate):

The solution to f(x) is exactly where it crosses the x-axis.
