Find x. (Let me attach the file first)

OpenStudy (amilapsn):

hmm...

OpenStudy (timmyk14):

Tag me when you attach the file. I'm very good at algebra, equations too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok @Timmyk14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here's the file @Timmyk14

OpenStudy (timmyk14):

Is it multiple choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (timmyk14):

Ah, I got it :) A circle is 360 degrees correct? So if you add the 120 with the 140 and also the 40 you get 300. So that would leave 60 left. I'm saying x is equal to 60 degrees. (I'm not a fan of geometry though)

OpenStudy (timmyk14):

Do you agree with my answer amilapsn?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no my A+ program said they don't agree and that my answer was wrong

OpenStudy (timmyk14):

Is the question just: find the value of x? Or is there more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's just find x @Timmyk14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@cram @PFEH.1999 CAN YOU HELP ME WITH MY QUESTION WHEN YOU GET THE TIME PLEASE AND THANK YOU

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amilapsn can u help me or no???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amilapsn r u there

OpenStudy (amilapsn):

Check this...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's not right either, my A+ program said that my answer wrong @amilapsn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@M.D.Saxon Can U help me with my question when u get time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I NEED HELP!!!

OpenStudy (amilapsn):

I'll check it again..

OpenStudy (amilapsn):

@gswag98 can you tell me what is the meaning of 120 & 140 mentioned in your figure...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They're arcs

OpenStudy (amilapsn):

Is this correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's the same file and x doesn't equal 120

OpenStudy (amilapsn):

|dw:1406314175209:dw|

OpenStudy (amilapsn):

I asked that... Does it mean The great angle in the triangle is 120? .

OpenStudy (nikato):

x=90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank You @nikato

OpenStudy (nikato):

|dw:1406314573958:dw|

OpenStudy (nikato):

because 120+140=260, x+y must =100 because a circle his a total of 360

OpenStudy (nikato):

by a theorem, 1/2 (x-y)=40 and multiply both sides by 2 x-y=80

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90 is the correct answer @nikato my A+ program said or in other words my program said "Good Job"

OpenStudy (amilapsn):

Thanks nikato..

OpenStudy (nikato):

so you have two equations x+y=100 x-y=80 add the two equations up --------- 2x=180 divide boths ides by 2 x=90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now for the next question...

OpenStudy (amilapsn):

I'm sorry. I answered the question without knowing what an arc is.. Now I know.. Thank you both...

OpenStudy (amilapsn):

ස්තුතියි!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's ok THANK YOU BOTH FOR THE HELP
