Fan&&Medal.. Will someone look and see if this looks ok?
I am supposed to be writing an arguement that either agrees or disagrees with "World War II was a continuation of World War I." This is what I got... Dealing with the question of whether World War II was a continuation of World War I, I would have to say that it was not. World War II began as a result of the first World War, and was simply the string of events that followed afterwards. World War II bgan with Brittian's declaration of war against Germany. After World War I, people in Europe felt as though Germany was to blame for the mess that was created. They wanted to force Germany to pay for the disaster they had entitled them to deal with. The war began because there wasn't a system yet created to work out differences. Following this, the League of Nations was created. It is an international congress that allows countried to express their concerns and disagreements ith the other countries. During this war, Europe was torn to pieces but still managed to get Germany to surrender. World War II was blamed on “capitalist imperialism” and Stalin suggested that future wars were inevitable to stop capitalist imperialism. Following Germany’s surrender and plans drawn at the Potsdam Conference, Germany was divided into four occupation zones. Each zone was controlled by a separate Ally. In conclusion, in has been well-noted that World War II was not a continuation of World War I. It was simply the effect of what happened during World War I. Brittian wanted to get payback on Germany for creating a huge disaster.
Do you want a grammar/English check, or check of the historical facts that you got down, or both ?
I just wanted to see if it sounded correct. I can use spell checker for everything else! :D
Well, the reason for Britain War declaration on Germany, it happened because Austria-Hungary attacked Serbia, then Russia tried to stick in to play the role of a protector of Serbia, then Germany being allies with AH declared War on Russia, and then Britain declared War on Germany being that it was Allies with Russia (only officially at that point, though) . The WW2 is mostly caused by the Great Depression that was caused by WW1. great Depression was the reason for Germans to elect Hitler.
This is just what I remember from my European History (American) textbook.
And election of Hitler obviously led to WW2...
When you said ' Brittian wanted to get payback on Germany for creating a huge disaster.' That was already during WWII.
Also, Britain even then only prepared in the War, with American Equipment and Technology that America Was sending to Britain
This tech and equip, was at the west point of Britain, and that's why Stalin was so sure that German won't attack, because the Germans had to take care of Britain first. Or otherwise, a 2 front war will make Germany lose (as it really happened)
Further extending on what happened to Britain, ... being that all tech., was at the west of Britain German Bombs couldn't reach it.... Back to the cause of WW1, important not to forget that WWII was initiated by Germany to make the score even, sort of. Since the lost WWI (This is an official opinion)
This is another reason
Should I keep typing ? :)
Lol, I think that's good enough!!! Thank you SO much, that definitely makes more sense. :D
I agree with our point about League of Nations .... perhaps what I say makes more sense:) But I added some opinions to facts, and I am better not mix those 2. Anyway, yw ☻
