Guys I have searched every site and they all say the same answer but it is incorrect. PLEASE HELP! I will give a MEDAL, TESTIMONIAL, and FAN.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following is a technique used in relative dating? Beta decay Index fossil correlation Isotope ratios Radiocarbon dating

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

beta decay is radioactive decay in which an electron is emitted. I believe that it is Radiocarbon dating

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

@BassCatcher15 what answer choice did they say it is wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I submitted this exam and had to reset it a little while ago. They're saying radiocarbon dating is wrong

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

really? does it give you the right answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

oh ok. my next answer would be Index fossil correlation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm pretty sure the answer is Isotope ratios..

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

Beta decay, isotope ratios and radiocarbon dating are all radiometric dating methods.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhh great.... Lol So yall are saying it could be a or b, or maybe d or c? XD

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

@BassCatcher15 lol xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh sorry I got Radiometric and Relative dating mixed up oops

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

@lyssfountain it is okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So yall are pretty confident that its index fossil correlation? @lyssfountain PM me back. Lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I agree with @superhelp101 that it's index fossil correlation

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks guys!!! I really appreciate it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@superhelp101 @lyssfountain A sample of rock is found to contain 100 grams of a parent isotope. How many grams of the parent isotope will remain after two half-lives? 100 75 50 25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

25 grams. It was halved twice so 100/2= 50 and 50/2=25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thats what I though. Thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The following images represent four separate events that happened to this section of rock, though not necessarily in the order shown below. Which image represents the event that happened next to last? All five strata are curved like waves, and the left-hand section of rock is elevated higher than the right-hand section of rock. Public Domain All five strata are curved like waves, and the left-hand section of rock has completely folded on top of the right-hand section of rock. Public Domain All five strata are curved like waves. Public Domain All five strata are curved like waves, and the left-hand section of rock has begun to fold over the right-hand section of rock. Public Domain @lyssfountain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe it is the last " All five strata are curved like waves, and the left-hand section of rock has begun to fold over the right-hand section of rock."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, @lyssfountain should check me because i could still be wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can't see the images :p idk why so I can't really help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright well I appreciate both of yalls help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was just going from the description...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After two half-lives, a sample contains 10 grams of parent isotopes. How many grams of the parent isotope were present to start? 60 40 30 20 This one is 40 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Explain why both relative dating and absolute dating are necessary to develop the fossil record.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I cannot help you there.

OpenStudy (zale101):

@BassCatcher15 do you have any lesson materials to study for exams?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean @Zale101 ?

OpenStudy (zale101):

is this an exam?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's an assessment

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is the last part of the assessment. You are digging a hole in your backyard when you see a piece of fossilized bone in the dirt. How could you prove the age of the fossil? Design a procedure for determining the relative and absolute age of the bone.

OpenStudy (zale101):

Ok, but it looks like you need a lot to study instead of finding people to throw you off the answers. It would be a great opportunity to work those assessments by yourself and then use them for your upcoming exams :) And if you need help, you'd just pick the most difficult question out of those and then try to find people who can explain it to you....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ummm... @Zale101 This assessment is like, 54 questions. I've asked 4 or 5 that were difficult to me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would use carbon dating to prove the age of the fossil
