OpenStudy (anonymous):

what i did was add them all up, because in total they should equal 360. but they don't. How do I solve?? Do I subtract what I got when i added them up with 360??

@jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

The angles don't add to 360 (you're thinking of quadrilaterals)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

S = 180(n-2) S = 180(5-2) ... 5 sides ---> n = 5 S = 540 The angles add to 540

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so so then my answer would be...540-100-160-95-115 and ill get my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which would be 70

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yeah you start off with 100+160+95+115+x = 540 and you solve for x like that

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

x = 70 is right

okay thank!
