Explanation of the energy conversion that occurs in photosynthesis and its importance
@ASRA_SALEEM
The net result of photosynthesis is thus: light energy + CO2 + H2O----> sugars + O2 + heat energy Photosynthesis allows the electromagnetic energy in sunlight to be converted into chemical bond energy in the cell. Plants are able to obtain all the atoms they need form inorganic sources via the soil (nitrogen, phosphates, salts ammonia), carbon dioxide via air and hydrogen and oxygen from water. The first stage captures sun energy and store it in smaller molecules that act as energy carriers and reactive chemical groups. Oxygen is the waste product of this stage. In the second stage the carbon fixation process produces the sugars (an extremely useful for of chemical bond energy) that are used by both the plant and animals that eat the plant.
@tester97 am I right?
You could be idk im not good with bio sorry /.\
Yes that's correct. The energy carriers are`NADPH` and `ATP`. The first stage is called as light reaction and the second reaction is called as `Dark reaction` or` Kreb's cycle` or `calvin cycle.`
